MOBILE GIVING FOUNDATION WINS GLOBAL MESSAGING AWARD

Non-Profit Organization Honored For Messaging Application or Service: Social Use

Bellevue, Wash. – July 1, 2010 – Mobile Giving Foundation, the pioneer in mobile giving and donor engagement for non-profits, is pleased to announce that it was honored during the seventh annual Global Messaging Awards program, hosted by SMS association 160Characters. Mobile Giving Foundation was announced the winner in the Messaging Application or Service Social Use category.

Held annually in London, the Global Messaging Awards program showcases the on-going vitality of the messaging industry. Major industry names such as Huawei, RIM and mBlox won awards, as did new up and coming companies across eight different categories. Winners were chosen by a selective panel of judges ranging from mobile journalists and analysts to mobile executives and consultants.

"We were impressed at the impact the Mobile Giving Foundation has had on fundraising for charities across North America, contributing to more than $50 million donated in the first quarter of 2010 alone," said Mike Grenville, Founder of 160Characters. "With mobile users able to donate to more than 400 charities using Mobile Giving Foundation's platform it has shown itself to be an easy and seamless way to donate."

“We are pleased to be honored by 160Characters as this award reflects the overall global power of mobile giving and the difference it’s making for our non-profit customers,” said Jim Manis, Chairman and CEO at Mobile Giving Foundation. “Our goal of enabling the mobile channel for charitable giving in support of good causes by using the convenience, security and ubiquity of text messaging and other wireless network based billing systems is being achieved.”

Since its inception, the Mobile Giving Foundation has enabled over a thousand giving campaigns for hundreds of charities including the ground breaking efforts for Haiti relief activities, large volume interactive mobile giving campaigns on popular television, and the current efforts in support of the Gulf oil spill restoration and reclamation efforts.

About Mobile Giving Foundation
The Mobile Giving Foundation (MGF), headquartered in Bellevue, Washington, was founded in 2007 by veterans of the wireless industry who wanted to harness the immense power of wireless communications to empower non-profit organizations. The concept was simple: give the 280 million American wireless users a single “Mobile Giving Channel” over which they could receive and respond to appeals from worthy causes. Since its launch, MGF has achieved 501 (C) (3) tax-exempt status, registered in all states to undertake charitable solicitations, enlisted numerous wireless industry participants, established relationships with major NPOs and won the support of wireless industry associations.
